For our April meeting we organised a chocolate tasting with Special Edition Chocolate from Market Rasen. It was pleasing to see many guests join us for this fun event. The highlight was of course tasting the delicious chocolate! Flavours included chilli, lime and ginger, caramel, pineapple and an unusual ras el hanout.
Before the talk Susan introduced Wisbech Trefoil for the benefit of our guests.
Trefoil is the adult arm of Girl Guiding. Wisbech Trefoil has been going since 2015 and currently has 11 members. We decide on a programme each year, with a variety of activities, but almost all have some kind of meal attached to it! Whether it is a lunch, afternoon tea, or even dinner, we enjoy the company.
As an example, this year we have already had lunch at Subie's restaurant, our AGM at the Magwitch and a trip to Cadbury's World in Bournville.
We are continuing our chocolate theme this evening as part of a chocolate challenge set by a Trefoil in Scotland.
Next month we will visit True's Yard in Kings Lynn.
We also help, when asked, any of the Guide groups in Wisbech with such things as fundraising events or making refreshments.
In addition, there are regional and national meetings where you can get to meet other Guilds from around the country.
