🕌 Salatul Kusuf at Manarat Foundation

Alhamdulillah, today Manarat Foundation had the honour of performing Salatul Kusuf (Solar Eclipse Prayer) after Salatul Asr.

The programme began with a short reminder by Ustadh Shamim about the Sunnah of Salatul Kusuf and its significance in Islamic history. The prayer was then led by Sheikh Yasser Aman, followed by a Khutbah and heartfelt Dua.

In his Khutbah, Sheikh Yasser Aman reminded us that just one week ago we gathered for Salatul Istisqa, and today we gathered for Salatul Kusuf These occasions are opportunities for us to reflect upon our condition and turn sincerely back to Allah ﷻ.

He highlighted some of the challenges and shortcomings within our society, including corruption in our systems, marriage and family problems, the weakening of family structures, and the rise of atheism and weakening of faith in Allah ﷻ, among many other issues.

These signs should remind us to examine ourselves, seek Allah’s forgiveness, strengthen our faith, improve our families and communities, and return to the guidance of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

May Allah ﷻ accept our Salah, Duas and repentance, forgive our shortcomings, and guide us and our families towards what pleases Him. Ameen. 🤲

Alhamdulillah, Yesterday, Manarat Foundation Performed Salat al-Istisqa (the prayer for rain) in response to the lack of rainfall in England.

The Khutbah, delivered by Sheikh Yaser Aman, highlighted the importance of Salat al-Istisqa and reminded us that when we face a shortage of rain, we should turn sincerely to Allah ﷻ through repentance, humility, Istighfar and Du‘a.

The Khutbah reminded us that rain is a blessing from Allah ﷻ, and that Salat al-Istisqa is a Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. It is an opportunity for the community to come together, acknowledge our dependence upon Allah, seek His forgiveness and ask Him for beneficial rain and mercy.

Following the Khutbah, the congregation performed Salat al-Istisqa and made heartfelt Du‘a, asking Allah ﷻ to send beneficial rain and bless our land and communities.

🤲 May Allah ﷻ accept our prayer, forgive our shortcomings, shower us with His mercy, and bless England with beneficial rain. Ameen

Alhamdulillah, Manarat Academy successfully organised an inspiring and educational trip to Cambridge Central Mosque on Saturday, 8 August 2026. 🕌📚

The trip provided our students with a wonderful opportunity to explore the history, architecture and significance of the mosque, while learning about the development of one of the UK’s most unique Islamic places of worship.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the Cambridge Central Mosque staff, who kindly spent around one hour with our group delivering a detailed and engaging briefing about the mosque. The students learned about:

The history and background of Cambridge Central Mosque

The unique architecture and design of the building

🌳 The inspiration behind its beautiful natural, tree-like wooden structures
📖 The mosque’s role as a place of worship, learning and community
☪️ The significance of the Islamic artwork, calligraphy and prayer spaces
🌍 The importance of mosques in bringing communities together

Our students had the opportunity to explore the mosque, observe its beautiful features and ask questions, making the visit a truly hands-on educational experience.

A huge Jazakumullahu Khairan to the Cambridge Central Mosque team for their warm welcome, hospitality and informative presentation.

We would also like to thank all the Manarat Academy staff, volunteers, parents and students who helped make the trip a success.

Most importantly, we hope our students return home with
new knowledge, greater appreciation for Islamic heritage and unforgettable memories

Alhamdulillah, Yesterday, Manarat Foundation successfully organised the Monthly Family Halaqah on the important topic of “Understanding the Big Signs of Qiyamah: Preparing for the Final Hour.”

We were honoured and sincerely thankful to Shaykh Shahid Ullah Azhari for delivering an enlightening and beneficial session, where he explained the **10 major signs of Qiyamah with clarity, wisdom, and valuable insights.

It was a truly important and meaningful knowledge-sharing gathering, bringing families and the community together to learn, reflect, and increase our understanding of the signs of the Hereafter.

May Allah STW bless our Shaykh for sharing this beneficial knowledge and reward everyone who attended and supported this programme. Ameen.
