EDGBASTON RESERVOIR
PUBLIC CONSULTATION
TODAY
MONDAY 13th JULY .
4-7PM
SEA CADETS
B16 9 EE
Entrance via Osler street

Today visitors to the reservoir can walk away from the urban sprawl and enjoy space and panoramic views , a respite from the inner city and a place to connect to nature .

Edgbaston Reservoir is also a designated SINC , a site of importance for nature and a Local Nature Reserve , predominantly for its importance as a site for migrating birds but also bats, butterflies , insects and habitat for pollinators .

The trees on the fringes cool the site and add to the Birmingham City Councils own pledge to tackle Climate change in our city . BCC also lay claim that Birmingham is a City of Nature and a Biopholic city , meaning that nature should be at the heart of all civil decision making.

Birmingham has an oasis nestled in the heart of its city which should be recognised and protected . It has evolved over 200 years to be a place that is loved by many Brummies and beyond .

The proposed development on the old Tower site will undoubtedly impact the reservoir and the wildlife with increased light and 24/7 activity on the waters edge.

The proposal is open for public consultation before it applies for a planning application.
We urge everyone with an interest in Edgbaston Reservoir to attend if able and make their views known, whatever ideas they have .It’s a chance to influence the long term future of the res.

The consultation is organised by Keon Homes and is open to all.
Please attend if you are able, to make your views known.
