🧡 Every number tells a story... 🧡

This month has been full of hope, generosity, and new beginnings at Tabor Living.

Thanks to an incredible partnership between Louis from St Mary's Church, Harborne and Caroline from Tabor Living, an amazing £1,000 has already been raised for St Mary's Parish Rooms and Tabor Living. 🎉

And the journey continues! On 19th September, Louis and fellow parishioners will be taking on the challenge of climbing Snowdon to help change lives. ⛰️💛

🏠 Two of our guests are now settling into their second week a Tabor Living, taking important steps towards independence and brighter futures.

🌟 Our move-on rooms are now full, with every guest working hard towards their own personal goals and aspirations.

🍽️ At this month's Companions Café, we welcomed 64 guests and, with takeaway meals and second helpings, provided 75 meals to people in our community.

Behind every meal is a conversation. Behind every bed is a safe night's sleep. Behind every donation is a person being given another chance.

With the greatest of sadness we are here to remember our wonderful relief staff member Marilyn (LYN) Turner.
Lyn was a valued member of Tabor and was loved by all who spent time with Lyn. This being Guests, Staff, Volunteers and visitors to Tabor Living Birmingham.

Lyn loved spending time with our guests and especially cooking up a storm in the kitchen or being competitive with board games.

Father Hudson's Caritas have prayed for Lyn today and have also entered Lyn's name in the book of rememberance.

This week, we supported one of our guests to resolve a long-standing tax debt. What once felt like an overwhelming burden has now been lifted from their shoulders, giving them the freedom to focus on the future with renewed confidence and hope.

Sometimes, it’s not just about finding a place to stay—it’s about helping people overcome the barriers holding them back and empowering them to move forward. 🌟

A huge thank you to HSBC for their amazing support last week! 🧡

Their team worked incredibly hard to prepare wonderfully nutritious meals for our guests, helping to make dinnertimes that little bit easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

This week, we served 55 meals and distributed Bags of Hope.

A huge thank you to everyone who helps make these gatherings possible, providing not just food and essential items, but friendship, dignity and support for those who need it most.

🎸 Ozzy Day Walk 2026 🚶‍♂️

Join us on Wednesday 22nd July for the Ozzy Day Walk – Walking for the Homeless.
Starting at Villa Park, we'll walk past Ozzy's childhood home before finishing at the iconic bench on Broad Street – a journey of around 4.2 miles that celebrates a Birmingham legend while raising vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness.

Every step taken will help support the work of Tabor Living, providing accommodation, support and hope to people on their journey away from homelessness.

⏰ Walk starts at 12 noon
📍 Villa Park to Broad Street
🚶 Approx. 4.2 miles

🧡 Feel Good Friday at Tabor Living 🧡
We’re ending the week with some wonderful news!
One of our guests has taken a huge step forward and moved into our move-on accommodation this week. 🏠✨
After working incredibly hard towards his goals, he is absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to continue building his independence. This next stage will give him valuable time to save money, plan for the future, and prepare for permanent independent living.
Moments like these remind us why the support we provide is so important. Every journey out of homelessness looks different, but each step forward is worth celebrating.
Congratulations on this amazing achievement - we are so proud of you and excited for what comes next!

🏡 One of our residents has successfully secured a 3-bedroom home for himself and his family, taking the next exciting step towards stability and independence.
💼 Another of our guests has secured full-time employment, a huge achievement that reflects their determination, hard work, and resilience.
These are the moments that remind us why our work matters. Every bed, every meal, every conversation, and every bit of support can help someone move closer to the future they deserve.
