In 3 months time, another 32 children will be attending a themed Princess Ball with 3 of the mini missioners who will be Princes for the day also attending. One of the boys grew his hair after fighting and beating cancer. 🤴 👸

The children have been raising funds since the start of the year and others signed up a few months in to the year. Family and friends have been donating and supporting them over the months on their online pages.

We have Winnie, Darcie, Dolcie, Freya all attending the latest event as special guests and they will help to chop a minimum of 10 inches of hair from each mini missioner involved. All of the children will receive a Sash, Tiara, Tshirt, Trophy, Medal, Certificate, Personalised Flute, Horses and Carriage Ride, Limo Ride, Meet Princesses, sit in the throne chair, Pampering, New hair style, and much more.

The children have raised £11,164 so far which has helped to grant over 60 wishes to children and families that sent in requests to us and they have also supported with equipment for the new Sanctuary of Smiles hub. The children still have 3 months and will also raise offline funds to bring on the day and the funds will support with more wish granting. 👏

A massive thank you to all the companies who have agreed to sponsor the event again, over 19k saved in costs. We have only had to pay for the venue and trophies and tiaras. We are very grateful to our sponsors for continuing to help make the event magical for the children. (Photos attached at the end from previous) 💛

The hair will be sent off to make wigs, over 700 children have previously taken part since the idea in 2013 and over 7000 inches of hair donated. The event has been on the news a few times as well as being on "This Morning" a few years back. New sign ups will open soon.

Matts Mission Children's Charity - Making Smiles Glow is looking for a team of skilled professionals who would be willing to dedicate a little time each month to support the families we work with.

For the past 16 years, we have been granting wishes to children with life-limiting illnesses, severe disabilities, and additional needs. We visit hospitals, hospices, and SEN schools with gifts and mascots, provide respite holiday home breaks, and have recently opened our brand-new Family Support Hub in the heart of Birmingham.

Our hub consists of 20 different support zones, offering free advice, counselling, sensory experiences, activities, and much-needed support for families facing incredibly challenging circumstances.

Over the years, we have met countless families who are struggling with issues around the home. Unsafe gardens, bedrooms in desperate need of decorating, damp problems, broken fencing, plumbing issues, roofing repairs, and much more. Many parents have had to give up work to become full-time carers, and every minute of every day is dedicated to caring for their child.

We believe these families should not have to face these challenges alone.
We want to build a team of caring and compassionate professionals who can help us make a real difference by offering their skills and expertise when needed.

Matts Mission Children's Charity - Making Smiles Glow have had a wish come in for a little girl with cancer and we need your help.

She has been having chemotherapy and she was told that it is magic medication that will help santa and she is desperate to see and feed a real reindeer with santa.

We need your help 💛

One of Matts Mission Children's Charity - Making Smiles Glow families Determined Darcie’s journey has a lovely big back garden but it needs some work doing on it to make it safe for Darci.

Our usual companies are very busy and unable to help and we really want to support after they shared a post to see if anyone could possible help them. Based in Solihull.

All nice and clean and ready for the next batch of children coming in to the Sanctuary of Smiles Hub with Matts Mission Children's Charity - Making Smiles Glow the feedback about the need for the space has been incredible since we opened.

If you have weekend availability and school holiday's then we are wanting more volunteers who we can get trained up and do an Enchanced DBS check on, they take around 4-10 weeks so if you are serious about wanting to be involved then we would love to hear from you.
