Last night one of our Adult Volunteers was awarded a second clasp for his Cadet Forces Medal in recognition of the outstanding contribution he has made over the years towards helping our Cadets.

It was presented by Mercia District Sea Cadets District Officer in front of our Cadets, Staff, Parents and Carers.

The end of another successful South West Area Sea Cadets Training Week.

Two Cadets have smashed their Cadet Development course, gained qualifications in rock climbing level 1 and Basic CIS and visited Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth | Royal Navy.

Meanwhile the staff served as members of the Logistics, Accommodation and First Aid teams helping to look after over 80 Cadets.

Lots of new friendships were made and old ones renewed.

Last night was bittersweet.

We handed out more awards to our Cadets, including

One sailing taster certificate
One certificate for the successful completion of the Mercia District Sea Cadets Junior’s Waterborne Weekend
One passport from King Neptune (IYKYK)

But we also said farewell to one of our Adult Instructors who is moving away. Fair winds and following seas from all at TS Sherbourne.
