What a day! 🌊☀️

Barry Island, sunshine, sea, sand and so many memories made. 💙

For some of our young people, today was their first ever trip to the beach — and what a way to experience it! 🥹

From splashing in the sea and building epic sand sculptures, to arcade battles, fish and chips and plenty of laughs along the way… it was a day packed with fun, friendship and new experiences. 🏖️🎮🍦

And we weren’t there alone! We joined Open Door and our wider community, travelling together across 5 coaches of families and community members, bringing people together and creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy a brilliant day out.

This is what youth & community work is about — creating opportunities, opening doors, building relationships and helping young people make memories that they’ll carry with them. ❤️

What a day! ☀️❤️

Our Summer Festival was a brilliant celebration of community, connection and togetherness — with 500+ people coming together to laugh, have fun and enjoy a few hours of summer in Bromford.

Families, friends and neighbours from all cultures and generations came together, with something for everyone — from drumming and inflatables to the legendary Bad Boy Wings eating competition, mocktails, music and our peaceful Peace Tent. And that’s just a snapshot of everything that was going on!

But more than anything, it was about people. People meeting, connecting, sharing a laugh and showing what can happen when a community comes together.

Bromford really showed up. 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered, performed, organised, supported and helped make it such a special day.
So many partners and neighbours coming together to make this happen!

It feels like a long time coming, but The "On Our Streets" Mobile Venue has finally arrived!

It was fantastic to see so many new and familiar young people drawn to the mobile venue from day one. The excitement, conversations and engagement showed just how much potential this space has to bring play, support and opportunities directly into the heart of our communities.

We're excited to see where this journey takes us as we continue working in partnership with Open Door & FIRS and BROMFORD Neighbours Together - Community Development Trust and local residents to help young people and communities thrive—right on their doorstep.

It certainly does take a village and the Firs and Bromford (and especially The Hub, we might be a bit biased) is a pretty amazing one!

Someone gave us this note yesterday. It's lovely to know people feel this way about the Hub. We've talked about Firs and Bromford being a village for many years and how important community is. It definitely does take a village to raise a child 🫶🫶

What a week it’s been at Worth Unlimited Birmingham! 🙌

Our amazing young people have been bringing the energy all holiday long 💥 From getting creative in our chocolate egg making bake off 🍫🐣 to teaming up for a community scavenger hunt 🗺️… it’s been non-stop fun!

We’ve had gaming sessions 🎮, sports and team challenges ⚽🏀, loads of laughs, and plenty of moments that showed just how strong this community of young people are 💙

And to top it all off… today we’re heading out to the trampoline park 🤸‍♂️🔥

Huge shoutout to every young person who got involved – you’ve made this week unforgettable 🙏
