Having access to office space in the heart of the community has enabled us to establish regular fortnightly outreach sessions and strengthen the structure of our mentorship programme, allowing us to reach and support even more people.

Since our organisation was founded, we have supported 1,292 individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. ❤️

This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the amazing support we have received from the very beginning. We are truly grateful to our grant funders, including the National Lottery Community Fund, LoveBrum, and The Lord Mayor of Birmingham’s Charity, as well as everyone who has donated through our JustGiving page.

Today is World Homeless Day, but homelessness is not just a one-day issue. It is a reality that affects lives every single day.

At Diver’s Community CIC, we are committed to making a difference all year round. Every two weeks, we provide immediate support in Birmingham City Centre, distributing survival kits, food vouchers and other essential items to people experiencing homelessness and hardship.

But our support doesn’t stop there. We also provide ongoing, practical assistance to help individuals move towards a more stable and secure future. From finding and securing accommodation to obtaining ID, accessing employment opportunities and much more, we work alongside individuals every step of the way.

We also collaborate with a wide range of organisations across the city to strengthen the support available and help build a more connected, compassionate community.

Because homelessness doesn’t last just one day, and neither should the support.

We headed over to the Birmingham Device Bank, collected the laptop, and personally delivered it to our client — and he was absolutely over the moon ❤️

He’d been trying to manage everything from his phone, which you can imagine made things incredibly difficult. Now he has the tools he needs to move forward.

This is what real partnership looks like. Let’s keep pushing.

We now have 50 bus tickets to support individuals who rely on ongoing help through our mentorship programme. Thanks to the Lord Mayor of Birmingham’s Charity, we can keep breaking down transport barriers and offering consistent support.
