🌟 Online Sales Volunteer Opportunity - Acorns Pershore Superstore 🌟

Would you like to make a real difference while gaining valuable retail and online sales experience?

At Acorns, we provide care and support for life limited and life threatened children and their families. As a charity, the vital care we provide is made possible through fundraising and our wonderful charity shops. 🧡

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join our team at the Pershore Superstore to help support our growing online sales operation!

🛍️ What you’ll be doing:
📸 Photographing items for online sales
💻 Creating listings using AI software
📦 Packaging and fulfilling orders
📮 Posting completed orders

This role is perfect for someone who is:
✔ Comfortable using technology
✔ Organised and reliable
✔ A confident team player

⏰ Flexible volunteering hours available
Our shop is open:
Monday - Saturday: 9am - 6pm
Sunday: 10am - 4pm

You can volunteer at times that suit you, although we’d love support for around 10 hours per week.

👨‍👩‍👦 Have you got friends and family in the area who can support at the event?

🤗 Event village volunteers – Support at the Acorns stand and event registration desk.

🎊 Cheer squad – Bring your loudest voice and biggest smile to cheer runners on as they power around the course.

🚰 Water station – Help keep runners hydrated by handing out and topping up water.

🙂 Mascot – Step into the costume and become Alex the Acorn, spreading smiles and fun, and congratulate runners as they cross the finish line.

We’re Excited to Announce Our New Superstore Opening Soon!

We’re delighted to share that a brand-new Acorns Superstore will be opening at Bescot Retail Park, Walsall towards the end of this year and into the beginning of next.

At Acorns, we provide vital care and support for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, as well as their families. As a charity, much of this care is made possible through fundraising and the generosity of supporters in our shops.

That’s why we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us and help make our new store a huge success by giving the gift of your time.

Retail opportunities include:

Till volunteers

Refurbishment and merchandising

Stock sorting and preparation

…and more!

You can volunteer the hours that suit you, though we’d love for you to give at least 3 hours per week if possible.

As summer blossoms, so does the spirit of community at Acorns. Our annual garden fetes bring together families, friends and an incredible team of volunteers for days filled with laughter and a shared purpose. These vibrant events aren’t just about raising vital funds; they’re a chance for our community to connect all while experiencing the joy of giving.

The magic behind our successful garden fetes? Our amazing volunteers! From setting up stalls bursting with goodies to warmly greeting guests at the welcome desk, their energy and dedication are truly infectious. And it’s not all hard work – plenty of fun is had along the way.

Our next garden fete is at our Birmingham hospice on Saturday 13th September from 11am – 3pm. We’d love to welcome you to our wonderful team of volunteers.

Sheryl Bolden began her journey with Acorns in Spring 2022, joining our Mere Green charity shop as a retail volunteer. Looking to connect with others in her community while supporting a local charity, Sheryl found the perfect fit – especially given her background in fashion and sustainability.

In 2024, when her personal circumstances changed, allowing her to stay on for full-day shifts, she seized the opportunity to become a Key Volunteer.

In February 2025, Sheryl’s journey with Acorns came full circle when she was appointed Deputy Community Shop Manager at her beloved Mere Green Shop.
