So today we had to set about organising everything at our new home. Again, teams of people working from 10am until around 3.30pm organising our sets, furniture and props into our new container and storage cupboard and organising our new attic storage room and......we did it!!!!
We want to say a massive thank you to everyone at St John's and St Peter's Church for taking us in and looking after us for a year and now thank you to the fabulous team at West Heath who have welcomed us with open arms. We are now really excited to start rehearsals again on Thursday 3rd September at 7.30pm!!!!

So this weekend has been a busy one for our Youth Onstage committee and some of our fabulous members, parents and Grandparents. We moved out of St John's and St Peter's Church and our Storage Solutions unit, Dudley, on Saturday. We could not have done this move without the team of around 20 people & their vans and forming human conveyor belts to move boxes and boxes of props, set and costumes. We all worked from 9.30am until 5pm until our bodies ached! But we moved into our new home at West Heath Community Centre......Saturday's photos.

Good luck to all who are collecting A level results today but remember that exams do not define you.
Your value is never a score.
An exam measures memory, not your intelligence.
A piece of paper cannot capture your future.
No matter what your results say, you will always be stars in our eyes!!!!

So.......more exciting alumni news.....a fabulous YOS alumni photo from Ellie's wedding first. Then our lovely Hannah Fellowes, who now still regularly helps us backstage, is engaged to Luke - congratulations (such a romantic setting in America). Then last, but not least, our very first YOS alumni wedding...Matty and Lauren. They met at a YOS rehearsal, started going out with each other and even managed to star opposite each other in our production of Kipps. Congratulations from us all!!

Youth Onstage alumni have been VERY busy over the last month. We have had 3 weddings, 3 babies, 1 engagement and 2 current members off to drama schools soon. We also have another wedding in 2 days....busy, busy, busy.....so congratulations to: former member, choreographer and committee member (and now Director of the very successful Theatre Workshop) Suzy Powers and her new husband, Chris.
Congratulations to Rosie Benton whose fellow Yossers, Chris and Greg Watson, acted as groomsmen for her new hubby, Dave.
Then congratulations to Sophie Freeman and her hubby Brad, with former Yosser Georgia Brown as a bridesmaid.
Congratulations to the wonderful Lisa-Marie Holmes, Lisa and Josh Sherlock- Henderson, on the birth of their gorgeous twins: Ava and Paige.
And then to James Hudson and his partner, Blythe, on the birth of Marcus.
Last, but not least, a massive good luck to Deanna Mullen (Oz in We Will Rock You) and Gracie Evendon (Killer Queen) as they move on to drama schools (Mountview Birmingham and Shockout, Manchester)!!!!
Wonderful news all round and a very special wedding on Wednesday when Matty Brook and Lauren Chapman get married - our first YOS member wedding in 24 years!!! We wish them a fantastic day too! Phew!!!!
