We provide courses, activities and one-to-one counselling, as well as support for women who may be experiencing poor mental wellbeing, strained relationships, issues with housing and access to other basic essentials. Anawim's services are open to all women — you can call our free, confidential helpline on 0800 019 8818 or visit our live chat at www.anawim.co.uk to be put straight through to a friendly support worker. Please note Anawim's social media channels are monitored 9am-5pm, Thursday and Friday. For enquiries, please email [email protected] or visit our website. 💬This quote comes from one of the women we've worked with on the Intensive Supervision Court. The court offers an alternative to damaging short sentences. It means all unmet needs are looked at and work is undertaen to avoid future offending.

🟣We've been working in Birmingham for 40 years, and our service is needed now as much as ever. Anawim was started by Sisters Maisie Nevin and Magdelene Matthews in a house on Mary Street. Now we're still on the same street, have around 70 staff, and work with more than 2,000 women each year.

💻Abuse through technology is becoming more common - as we have more and more of it in our lives. Abusers might hack in to your accounts, or use trackers to keep control of your movements. They could also use smart home tech to keep an eye on what you're doing, or to simply just control the temperature in your home.
