SOME PEOPLE NEED TO READ THIS TODAY.
You can spend years thinking life is just…
Wake up.
Work.
Responsibilities.
Repeat.
You tell yourself:
“Maybe one day…”
And somehow the years disappear.
Our friend John is 84.
And he said something recently that stopped me in my tracks:
“I thought I was waiting to die.
It turned out I was waiting to live.”
For six years, John cared for his wife as dementia took more and more from her.
Then his world changed completely.
A fire took his possessions.
The things he’d collected.
The things he’d treasured.
Gone.
And after caring for his wife day and night for six years, she had to go into care.
Suddenly, almost everything that had defined his life was no longer there.
He was free of the responsibilities and burdens that had filled his days.
But he had no idea what to do with that freedom.
Then his daughter bought a ticket for Conscious Camp.
And that ticket opened a door.
John stepped through it.
And at 84 years old, he discovered something he genuinely hadn’t known was there.
MORE.
More friendship.
More connection.
More laughter.
More colour.
More possibility.
More life.
He cried all the way home.
Not because he was sad.
Because after believing his life was effectively over, he realised:
It wasn’t over at all.
There were still people he hadn’t met.
Conversations he hadn’t had.
Friendships he hadn’t made.
Things he hadn’t tried.
Parts of himself he hadn’t discovered.
And now he wants to give some of that back.
That’s why John, together with a small group of us, is creating the very first:

And this isn’t just about putting on another event.
It’s about creating a family.
Something where people arrive as strangers and hopefully leave feeling like they’ve found people they were meant to meet.
Something where you
laugh.
Talk.
Dance.
Sit around a fire.
Share stories.
Try things.
Meet people.
And maybe remember a part of yourself that life got too busy for.
This is the very first one.
The beginning.
And the people who come this year won’t just be attending something.
They’ll be helping create what There’s More becomes.
Maybe years from now they’ll be able to say:
“I was there at the first one.”
And you do NOT have to come for the whole weekend.
Got work?
Family?
Responsibilities?
Can’t camp?
COME FOR THE DAY.

Come and see what it feels like.
Because sometimes the next person who changes your life is still a stranger.
And sometimes the thing you need is something you don’t even know exists yet.
