💚 At NICE, our Red Boots School pupils came together to mark World Cerebral Palsy Day! 🌍💚

The children spent the day celebrating their individuality—highlighting their unique skills, strengths, and achievements. 🌟👏 Most importantly, they recognized how those individual qualities bring us closer together, making us stronger, more secure, and united as a community. 💚🤝

We’re still looking for a Conductor to join the team at NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders in Birmingham.

As a Conductor, you’ll play a vital role in helping children and adults with movement disorders develop their skills, confidence and independence through Conductive Education.

🌟 Plan and deliver high-quality Conductive Education programmes
🤝 Work closely with individuals, families and colleagues
💙 Support people living with conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis
📍 Based in Birmingham

🌟 As part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders, we wanted to champion and celebrate something that is fundamental to the future of Conductive Education: professional collaboration and strong international networks. 🌍🤝

We were delighted to bring together three prominent Conductive Education organisations: the PCA (Professional Conductors Association) the ECA (European Conductive Association) and ACENA (Association of Conductive Education in North America). 🌍🤝

✈️ Colleagues travelled from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, the UK and the USA to meet face-to-face, share ideas and explore opportunities to work together.

💡 The discussions focused on common projects, shared priorities and new ways of collaborating to champion and strengthen Conductive Education internationally.

🤝 Meeting in person provided an invaluable opportunity to connect beyond our individual organisations and settings, recognise the expertise and experience within our international community, and consider what we can achieve by working together.

💙 A huge thank you to everyone who travelled and contributed to such a positive and purposeful gathering. 🙌

💪 W always working hard and making progress towards his goal of standing for longer with reduced support. 🌟 More upright posture, more control in standing up and sitting down. 👏

He also did amazingly at using both hands and arms 🙌, bringing them into his midline so he can tap his new watch ⌚ to know the time! 💙
