😊 Happy World Smile Day! 😊

Sometimes, the smallest things can make the biggest difference — a smile, a kind word, a listening ear or simply knowing that someone is there for you. 💜

Today is a lovely reminder to share a little kindness and help put a smile on someone’s face. For families going through challenging times, those small moments of warmth and connection can mean so much.

What’s made you smile today? 😊 We’d love to hear it in the comments!

☕💜 It’s International Coffee Day!

There’s something special about sitting down with a cuppa and having a good chat.

For many parents, having someone who will listen, understand and simply be there can make all the difference. Sometimes the most meaningful support starts with a conversation over a cup of coffee. ☕💬

Today, we’re celebrating those little moments of connection, kindness and friendship.

So, pop the kettle on and check in with someone you care about. You never know how much that cuppa and a chat might mean. 💜

Does your child know what to do if there’s a fire in your home?

It’s scary to think about but if a fire breaks out children often hide from it, under the bed or in a wardrobe, because they’re scared. This means it will take longer to find and rescue them.

So, talk to your child about what to do in an emergency and plan and practice your escape plan together.

As Black Maternal Health Week comes to a close, the conversation doesn’t end here.

This week has been an important opportunity to raise awareness, listen to experiences and recognise the importance of Black mothers feeling heard, respected, supported and safe throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond.

At Home-Start Birmingham Central and South-West, we’re committed to supporting mothers and families in our community through every stage of their journey. 💜

Let’s keep listening, learning and raising awareness beyond this week.
