Guild Report
At our meeting on Wednesday 2nd September. We were treated to a fascinating evening finding out about the lives of honey bees.
Faith gave a really interesting illustrated talk about these hard working creatures and the hierarchy in the hives, each knows their own place and work as a team to keep the hive in good working order. Faith also brought products with her for members to buy including very Yummy Brummie Honey! 🍯 🐝
Our next Guild meeting is Wednesday 7th October our speaker is Brian Dakin with his talk "Story of Local Illustrator " 7pm start.

A game of BINGO (£1) will also be played during the evening.

Guild meeting 3rd June 2026

Clio gave a lovely presentation on her journey to renting an allotment plot at Walsall Road and all the benefits of doing so.
Not only health wise - good exercise, well-being and socialising but also being almost self-sufficient with the produce she grows. She has learnt how to freeze, dry, cook and preserve the vegetables and fruits that she grows on her large plot. Clio brought a display of some of the vegetables and the flowers that grow on her allotment and sold some jars of jam and chutneys.
As part of her talk, Clio gave a brief, interesting history of Walsall Allotments. She suggested various books for reference and answered questions from members.
An interesting and inspiring talk.
