A Humanitarian Project for IDPs in River Nile State, Sudan
In partnership with Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) Ethar Relief successfully implemented a humanitarian project, supporting 2,500 vulnerable internally displaced families in Atbara and Al-Damer, River Nile State.
The project was implemented in response to the continued displacement of families and the growing pressure on households struggling to meet their basic needs. Many displaced families were facing economic hardship and limited access to food and other essentials, creating an urgent need for flexible and timely humanitarian assistance.
1,000 families received food packs alongside cash assistance, helping them meet essential food and household needs.
1,500 families received cash assistance, giving them greater flexibility to prioritize their most urgent needs.
Through this combined approach, the project helped improve familiesβ access to food and essential items while preserving their dignity, choice, and independence.
