What a summer of music! 🎶

From our Folk Suite orchestral workshop, the Music Seekers Big Show and Northfield Beach appearance, a performance at Moseley Open Gardens, our Rock Collective summer gigs in Birmingham and West Brom, and all the brilliant sessions in between — it’s been a summer full of music, energy, fun and community.

Thanks to everyone who took part, performed, supported, cheered us on, and helped to make these great moments happen.

We’ve loved sharing so much music across the region this summer and can’t wait for more from September.

What a way to end the term! 🎸

Bearwood Rock Collective was our final session before the summer break and it was full of energy, music and fun moments.

Well done to everyone who’s taken part across all our groups this term. We’ve loved seeing the progress, confidence and joy in the room.

All our groups will resume w/c 7 September. Look out for details about how you can join us soon!

Meghan, Jim and our musicians brought a family-friendly orchestral performance to Northfield Beach for people with learning disabilities and autism. 🏖️ 🎶

As part of Victoria Common's transformation into an urban beach for four days, complete with sand and activities for all ages, we were delighted to bring along the Misfits sound.

And, although there was a chance to meet a stegosaurus at the beach, we think our shark was quite the draw too. 🦈

Thank you to everyone who stopped to listen and joined in, and thanks to the Northfield Community Partnership for inviting us to be part of such a great community event.

What a fantastic night in Birmingham! 🎸

The Moseley and Northfield Rock Collectives were brilliant at our final summer gig last weekend, filling the evening with energy, music and plenty to celebrate.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, cheered and supported our musicians. It was wonderful to share the night with you.

What a special day of music 🎻

Recently, our Moseley Misfits, B30 Ensemble and Birmingham Drum Battery musicians took part in an orchestral workshop focused on Sarah Farmer’s Folk Suite for Orchestra and Fiddle, one of the most complex and ambitious pieces our groups have tackled.

After a full day of rehearsing, they shared the results in a wonderful end-of-day performance, featuring Sarah Farmer herself as guest soloist, conducted by Dan Watson.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to those who came along to support our musicians.
