Birmingham Child Contact Centre We help children keep contact with the parent they no longer live with after relationship breakdown

We are Birmingham Child Contact Centre, a small charity supporting families following separation and divorce. We provide facilities for children to meet the parent with whom they no longer live. We strongly believe that children have the right to the love and support of both their parents after separation or divorce but this can be difficult in many cases therefore we try to help by providing a sa

fe, child-friendly and neutral place where they can meet with their parent, grandparents and wider family whom they otherwise would not see. Sadly, most of us have either been directly affected by divorce and separation, or know of families who have. The negative impact that divorce and separation can have on children is well documented. Our aim is to support families and especially children during this difficult and unsettling period; in fact it is widely acknowledged that support given to children affected by divorce and separation can have a significant positive impact on their lives.

To all the mothers out there, we want you to know that we see you. Mother's Day isn't always about homemade cards and breakfast in bed for everyone. For some, today is a reminder of loss, unfulfilled hopes, or painful struggles.

Let's take a moment to honour the mothers who are bravely standing up for their families in family courts, those who have tragically lost children to abusers, mothers who continue to face their abusers, and those who may not have children biologically but hold a mother's heart.

You are not alone. We stand with you today and every day. If you need to talk, Women's Aid is here: https://ow.ly/WRmF50QMs3t
