Birmingham St Mary's Hospice Choir

Birmingham St Mary's Hospice Choir Fundraising choir raising money for Birmingham Hospice The BSMH choir was formed in Autumn 2013 as a fundraising group for Birmingham St Mary's Hospice.

We are a ladies choir currently performing twice a year. We all have varying experience of singing in choirs previous and welcome new members of all abilities. Choir members met for the last time this afternoon to hand over £5285 to Roisin from the Hospice.

Whereas there is sadness that we have not been able to find a replacement MD, and have now disbanded, there is also a sense of achievement both of friends made, music performed, and mostly that over the 11 years we raised over £30,000 for the Hospice.

Many thanks to all who came to support the choir, and the Schubert Ensemble from KES, at our Concert in December.

We raised £973.87 on the Saturday of the Concert.

The week before the Concert we performed at Hagley Road Retirement Village, where a retiring collection raised £177.65

There was a separate, further donation of £10, so this brings the total raised to £1161.52

We will be joined by The Schubert Ensemble from King Edwards School during the first half of our concert, and Aidan Zhang on the piano during the second half.

Lots of lovely music , both sacred and secular, from the choir.
