She would love to interview some of you about your experiences. If you have ever wabnted to give feedback about this, it could be a great opportunity. Please send either me or her an email, or message me on hereif you want more info! The window s closing soon!

Thank you for your responses about the research study! Something a loty of you are clearly very passionate about. There have been some really important ideas coming through that we hadn't thought of, we really appreciate it ☺️ I'm sorry to read that so many of you have had bad experiences of attending your GP. There are some good ones out there, so please don't be disheartened if this is you. Sue and I have a lot of work to do! Please feel free to get in touch with us any time about this if there is something important to you that you would like us to cover.

Hi Everyone :)

My colleague Sue and I are applying for research funding for a project about how people with eating disorders (not necessarily diagnosed) experience primary care (the GP setting) and what GP staff can do to make sure that interactions are supportive. It would be really good to hear from you about what this topic means to you. What you think is the most important thing that we should be looking at with this research, what our research questions should be, and is it even an important thing to research? If you would like to share your ideas please send me a message on here, or to [email protected]
Thank you!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi folks,

I really hope you are all doing well and that the Christmas period was not too stressful, I know many of us find it hard with the change in routine, the social and financial pressures and the expectations around food and activity. Sometimes it's a very lonely time which can lead to turning to unhelpful coping strategies as a way to distract and numb the pain.

Perhaps you feel surrounded by diet-chat this January. But remember, whatever anyone else is doing, you must stay focused on recovery and keep away from eating behaviours that are fuelled by self-hate. Whatever anyone else says they are doing to manipulate their body, there is no ‘too soon’ to put all of your commitment, intention, responsibility and honesty into recovery. Even if working against it feels overwhelmingly scary today, remind yourself that the alternative is even more terrifying forever.

We will be meeting on Thursday 25th January 19:30-20:45, so please come along if you would like to listen to some recovery chat, and get anything off your chest. Come and share your wins, worries, and things you've got your mind on.
