Help the Hospice

Help the Hospice A charity effort to help a local hospice What are our aims? To raise awareness of what a hospice is, what it does and why we need to support it. Satisfaction.

We aim to raise funds; the money we raise will be spent on buying furniture and desired items for the comfort and leisure of the people in the hospice and for any renovations that we do in the hospice. We hope to benefit the people who are in John Taylor hospice (Birmingham), and make it so people who enter the hospice after we complete our project will also benefit to the full. We will create a m

ore comfortable, serene, recreational and dignified environment for the people of the hospice. Why are we doing this? We genuinely want to help people. We have two members of our team with younger siblings who have autism and because working with children, especially children with autism, would be complicated they wanted to be sure that we help people. Several members of the group have had family who have had or have terminal illnesses (who doesn’t have family or friends with terminal illnesses?) I have had a cousin and a grandmother who died in hospice care and I want to be sure that everyone in the hospice that we help will be as comfortable and dignity as possible. This is our chance to be good citizens, by contributing to our community. We also hope to help dispel stereotypes and prejudices that people may against youth being dangerous and selfish; this would be helping the image of youth in general by changing the perception of youth in the modest area that we affect. Any suggestions or support you can offer would be greatly appreciated, feel free to please contact us.
