RSPCA Birmingham Animal Centre and Hospital

RSPCA Birmingham Animal Centre and Hospital The RSPCA Birmingham is based in Frankley, Birmingham - a short distance from Junction 3 of the M5. On site we have a rehoming centre and hospital.
(471)

Please note the Rehoming centre is appointment only and closed on Wednesdays. Our 72-acre site has been specifically chosen as the perfect location to help animals through rescue, recovery, and rehabilitation. We look after cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and other small domestic animals - at any one time we are caring for over 200 animals. Most of the animals have been rescued from neglect and poor tr

eatment - when they come to us they are often nervous of strangers. We spend weeks, months and sometimes years looking after them preparing them for a new life and a second chance. All of our animals are looking for someone to offer them a new home, to be a friend and look after them. In return a pet will offer fun, friendship and loyalty. Please visit our website www.rspca.org.uk/findapet to view our animals for adoption (this is updated daily). We also have an animal hospital on site with a dedicated team who treat a range of veterinary conditions to improve the lives of unowned neglected and sick animals we look after. It costs the RSPCA over £1,000 a day to run the Centre. We rely entirely on kind donations from people like you. If you would like to support us, or you have room in your home and in your heart to take on a rescue animal, please visit our website. Our animal hospital is open 8am to 6pm only, for unowned sick or injured animals. Please note we do not provide services for owned animals. Our animal centre opening hours are 11:00am - 3:00pm every day, except Wednesday. The rehoming centre now operates on appointments only for adoptions. Please visit our website first to complete an application and then we will be in touch if your application is successful. Any queries please contact [email protected]

Please note, we are just a rehoming centre and hospital, we urge anyone who wants to report cruelty or neglect to contact our cruelty line on 0300 1234 999 lines open 8am-5pm or you can also report online https://www.rspca.org.uk/utilities/contactus/reportcruelty

How have they still not been chosen?😢

They have been lucky enough to have been brought up in a foster home, but we don’t want temporary home to be all they’ve known😔

Now that they are ready for homing they deserve that forever family and a place to call their own home❤️

Please share this post to find Malcolm, Dewey and Reese their forever homes🏡⬇️

Happy International Cat Day to all the wonderful felines out there 😻🐾

There are so many beautiful cats, just like our gorgeous girl Oyster, waiting patiently in rescue centres and foster homes across the country 💔

So please, consider adopting before shopping ❤️ and please remember when you rescue one cat, you’re actually helping to rescue two - because when your new cat leaves their space, another cat in need can quickly take their place 🐾

All of our cats are vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and health checked, with their flea and worm treatments up to date.

They’re can’t wait to find the loving forever homes they deserve 🏡❤️

This International Cat Day, why not make a rescue cat’s biggest wish come true? 😻

Please adopt, don’t shop 🐾❤️

For cuteness we have attached a video of Osyter enjoying her catnip enrichment - some sniff it, some roll around in it, but Oyster prefers to eat hers 😆
She is still waiting for a home to call her own 😭

Dear Future Human,

I wonder what you’re doing today.

Maybe you’re making a cup of tea.

Walking your current dog.

Scrolling through Facebook.

I hope you stop here.

Because I’ve been dreaming about you.

I dream about having my own bed.

My own toys.

My own garden.

Someone saying, “Come on Murph, let’s go.”

I don’t know when we’ll meet…

But I hope it’s soon.

Love,

Murphy 🐾

Think we could be a match?

How is this girl still with us?😢

She is a gentle, curious girl who likes to approach people in her own time. When she’s feeling brave, she’ll come over for attention and enjoys a fuss and gentle strokes🥰

Sheba enjoys playing with dangly toys and absolutely loves her treats😋

Could you be that patient someone willing to give this girl a chance?

This is our special girl Jade💚

She is a confident girl with an excellent appetite and uses her litter tray perfectly. She enjoys being close to her foster family and likes to be in the same room wherever they are, often spending her nights sleeping in the bedroom nearby🥰

Jade has also met the resident cat in her foster home and has been happy to share the same space without any issues, so we believe she could live with another calm, respectful cat following slow introductions🐱

What if…

…your best friend is currently sitting in a kennel waiting for you?

What if every adventure you’ve dreamed of could be shared with a goofy, loyal, intelligent giant called Murphy?

What if all it takes is one share for the right person to finally see him?

Over a year is far too long for any dog to wait.

Could you be his fresh start?
