A new school year and some brand-new wheels for Lexi! 💙

Earlier today, our team paid a special visit to Lexi as she started the new school term, delivering her new wheelchair funded through the support of the Boparan Charitable Trust.

The adventurous 10-year-old lives with spina bifida and relies on a wheelchair for her mobility. This wasn't our first meeting with Lexi, as we were also proud to support her with her very first wheelchair back in 2019.

How time flies! We wish Lexi a fantastic year at school and lots of new adventures with her new wheels.

A new sense of freedom for Isobel

Meet wonderful Isobel – a happy, cheerful music lover with a huge personality and a passion for musicals, concerts, the theatre and playing her keyboard and drums. 🎶🥁🎹

Thanks to the Boparan Charitable Trust, Isobel has now received a powered wheelchair that will give her greater independence, freedom and the chance to experience more of the things she loves. 💙

Living close to the seafront, one of Isobel’s biggest wishes is to be able to head down the promenade, people-watch and enjoy the festivals and performances that take place throughout the year. 🌊🎭

Everyday life can be challenging for Isobel and her twin sister Iris, who also has Schaaf-Yang Syndrome. With both girls having different needs, family days out can be difficult to manage, and Isobel can sometimes miss out on the activities she enjoys.

Her new powered chair will help change that – making it easier for Isobel to get out, explore, enjoy her favourite places and, importantly, have more autonomy over her own life. ✨

Over 18 teams will battle it out in this years tournament, a firm favourite for fundraising, networking and great golfing action. ⛳ 🏌‍♂️

Last week, our team had the pleasure of visiting Charlie and his family to deliver his brand-new specialist therapy trike.

Charlie has diplegic cerebral palsy, a condition that can often leave him feeling tired and unable to take part in many of the activities that other children enjoy with their families. More recently, he has also undergone surgery on his knees, making his recovery journey even more challenging.

The arrival of his therapy trike marks an exciting new chapter. More than just a bike, it represents freedom, independence, and opportunity. It will enable Charlie to get outdoors, spend quality time with his family, and enjoy the simple pleasure of riding alongside them.

The trike will also play an important role in his rehabilitation, helping him to build strength in his muscles following surgery while improving his fitness, confidence, and mobility.

Seeing Charlie's excitement as he explored his new trike was a powerful reminder of why this support matters. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, children like Charlie can access specialist equipment that helps them lead fuller, more active lives.

We wish Charlie many happy adventures ahead and look forward to hearing about all the places his new-found independence takes him. 🚲💙

We are privileged to support life-changing opportunities for children and young people, and stories like Kyla's remind us why our work matters.

Just over a week ago, Kyla received her new electric wheelchair funded by The Boparan Charitable Trust. The impact was immediate.

The very next day, Kyla and her family headed to the seaside, where she was able to experience a new level of freedom and independence. From whizzing along the seafront promenade to exploring the Sea Life Centre, Kyla was able to keep up with her sister every step of the way and discover everything she wanted to see on her own terms.

Her family have already noticed a remarkable difference. Kyla's confidence and mental wellbeing have improved, she is enjoying getting out more, and even her appetite has increased since gaining greater independence. In Kyla's own words, her new wheelchair is her "favourite thing ever!"

Beneficiary Update! 💙

Earlier this year, we were delighted to support Michael with his brand-new PPod.

Michael lives with a rare condition called MEGDEL syndrome, which affects his mobility and makes it difficult for him to find comfortable positions. This often impacted his ability to take part in everyday family life.

Today, Michael's mum shared some wonderful news with us:

"Now that Michael has a comfortable place where he can sit, he can engage much more in family life."

Hearing updates like this reminds us why your support matters. Having the right equipment doesn't just provide comfort—it opens the door to greater inclusion, connection, and precious moments with loved ones.
