Join us in prayer as we begin the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026 from the 18th to the 25th January πŸ™

Lord Jesus Christ,
You bring us together in all our diversity,
as family and church.
In the face of so many situations on earth,
where hope has given way to despair
and hearts are wounded and emptied by disappointment,
renew our strength and unify us.
Help us to share Your hope wherever we find ourselves.
You are the true Light,
who casts out the darkness of sin,
despair and brokenness,
who shines into our hearts, releasing the joy
and the true hope of Your eternal love for all.
Amen.

Happy Christmas!

We know Christmas can be a difficult time for many people. We are sending love to everyone struggling to see God’s light reflected in them and anyone who finds this period challenging.

Even amidst all the rejoicing, God sees and receives your sadness.

Come along for this relaxed service on Christmas Eve!

A Prayer in response to the attack at Bondi Beach πŸ™

Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the universe, who grants us light, sustains us in life and guides us in the ways of holiness.

On a day when peaceful celebration has been distorted through acts of violence and hatred, we pray for those who have died and been injured in the attack at Bondi beach at the beginning of Hanukkah.

Comfort those who have lost loved ones. Strengthen them and grant them peace.
Stand close to those who seek answers and with those tasked with understanding and responding to these acts of violence.

May the deep darkness of this day be met by responses of respect, compassion and solidarity as we continue to draw alongside our sisters and brothers of Jewish faith in our prayers.

We pray for an ending to all acts of religious or racially based hatred that we may dwell in your light and seek a world in which all may walk safely alongside their neighbour.
Amen.

Pray with us today.

Story-telling God, as you gathered the crowds in Galilee, and stretched the imaginations of the affluent and defeated, enter our world today.

Where the lonely stare at screens, and deception comes via glamourous lies, when we cultivate the ethos of insiders and outsiders – speak into our hearts the depths of your love story.

A story of grace, hope and beautiful mercy. A story of joy-filled expectation. A story of new beginnings. A story of hope.

Enable us to make love real.

May your story be our story. Our end, our beginning and our whole life’s journey. Amen.

As we step into this , we pray that the God who calls you precious will wrap you in peace today ✨

In this first week of Advent, we invite you to join us as we explore themes of peace, transformation, and the reminder that each and every one of us is a gift 🎁

29/11/2025

A reminder that you are a gift ✨

As we approach this busy time, we give thanks for the gifts of all those in our churches and communities who give their time and energy throughout the year, but especially so during Advent and Christmas.

We celebrate the work that has already been done, the preparations and plans that are underway to share the good news of this season. We pray that You will continue to support and strengthen us in all we do. May we reflect You in all our work so that others can know Your presence this Advent and Christmas.

Let us iron the crumples and the creases from our lives so that we may be the best gift that we can be.
Amen

Today we mark Women Against Violence Sunday with this prayer πŸ™

Loving and merciful God,
We come before You with heavy hearts, carrying the pain of countless women and girls who have suffered in silence and in fear.

You see their tears, hear their cries, and know their wounds - both visible and hidden.

We pray for healing, Lord - for those whose bodies have been harmed,
whose spirits have been broken,
whose voices have been silenced.

Wrap them in Your love and restore their strength.

Let them know they are not alone, not forgotten, and never to blame.

We pray for justice - for the courage of survivors to speak,
for wisdom and compassion in those who listen,
for accountability for those who harm,
and for systems that protect rather than neglect.

We pray for transformation - that hearts hardened by anger or ignorance
be softened with understanding and grace.

Change the culture that normalises control and cruelty.

Teach us to honour one another with respect, to raise boys and girls in the light of equality and kindness.

O God of peace, make us instruments of Your peace.

Where there is fear, let us bring safety.
Where there is silence, let us speak truth.
Where there is despair, let us bring hope.

May every woman and girl live free from violence, free to dream, to grow, and to flourish in the dignity and love that You intend for all Your children.
Amen.
