Summer Holiday Activity Scheme 2026 is officially underway! ☀️🎉

We have now welcomed our first cohort of children from Lozells and Small Heath for a fun-filled start to the summer! From getting creative during arts and crafts to taking part in sports and energetic team games, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

It was wonderful to see all the children getting involved, making new friends and having such a great time and tucking in to breakfast and cooked lunch.

This is just the beginning! We have plenty more exciting activities planned over the coming weeks, and we can't wait to welcome more children for a summer full of fun, creativity and adventure. 🌞💙

🌞 Summer Scheme Day Trips 2026 – Register Now! 🚌🎉

Community Foundation is excited to announce our Summer Holiday Activity Scheme Day Trips! Spaces are limited, so make sure you register your interest today.

📍 Day Trip Options:
🎡 Blackpool – Thursday 30th July
🌿 Carding Mill Valley – Thursday 6th August
🦁 West Midlands Safari Park – Thursday 13th August

Please note:
✅ Your child must be registered for the Summer Holiday Activity Scheme before completing the day trip form, and be attending DAILY.

🚌 Coaches will depart from our Small Heath and Lozells venues at 9:30am, and start return journey at 6pm.

International justice helps ensure that serious crimes do not go unanswered and that victims are heard, respected, and supported. It is a powerful step toward building a world where human rights are protected and everyone is treated with dignity.

Staff and Volunteers strengthen team dynamics 💪

At the Community Foundation, we know that our impact is only as strong as our team. That’s why our staff and volunteers recently stepped outside the office to participate in a team-building escape room challenge. The experience was a fantastic way to put our problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to the test in a high-energy environment.

More importantly, it allowed us to deepen our relationships and reinforce the collaborative spirit that drives our mission forward every day. We are thrilled to report that we successfully cracked the codes and escaped - ready to bring that same synchronized energy back to our community initiatives!

🌊 Sea Cadets: On the Water – Summer 2026! ⛵

Looking for an exciting summer adventure? We're delighted to offer children attending our Summer Holiday Activity Scheme the opportunity to take part in a fun-filled afternoon of water sports with the Sea Cadets!

Participants will have the chance to enjoy activities such as sailing, paddle boarding, and more, all under the supervision of qualified instructors in a safe and supportive environment.

📅 Dates: 28 July, 4 August & 11 August 2026
🕜 Time: 1:30pm–4:30pm
👧👦 Who can attend? Children aged 9–14 years who are registered on our HAF scheme and who attend daily!

> No previous experience or swimming ability is required. Buoyancy aids will be provided, and full safety support will be in place throughout the session.

>Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage families to register as soon as possible.

>Please note that parents/carers are responsible for arranging transport to and from the venue. Please make sure to arrive by 1:15pm.

🌞 4 WEEKS FREE SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITY SCHEME 2026 🌞

Make this summer one to remember with exciting activities, new friendships and plenty of fun along the way!

Our Summer Holiday Scheme will again be running in Lozells and Small Heath in Birmingham.

The scheme is open to boys and girls aged 5-16 and will offer professional sports coaching, martial arts, water activities, Xbox Kenetic KO competition, computer coding classes, arts & crafts and energiser games, as well as fun day trips! 🏀🥋🚣

The Day Trips will be open to book for children who attend all the days on time and are of good behaviour and will be offered on first come first served basis. Day trip times, locations, and fees will be announced in due time.

➡️ LOZELLS: 20 St Silas Square (off Church Street), B19 1QW

🗓️Tuesday 21 July to Friday 24 July, then every Monday to Wednesday until 13 August
🕐 9am – 12.45pm for children aged 5-9 years old. Breakfast will be provided.
🕐 1.15pm – 5pm for children aged 10-16 years old. Lunch will be provided.

Do you have a talent that you can show or for people to hear? We are on a quest to find young people up to the age of 30 with a talent that deserves recognition.

Your talent could be in singing, dancing, music, spoken word artists, comedy, magic, cultural performance, street entertainment or physical skills like acrobatics, Martial Arts etc., or any other talent you are ready to showcase!
