Read our latest media statement, where we share our concerns following the stunt of three women dressed in niqabs and burkas at the Tommy Robinson's rally last Saturday. MWNUK CEO said: “Such stunts have a direct and harmful impact on the safety and well-being of Muslim women. They reinforce harmful stereotypes, embolden harassment, and contribute to a climate of fear where women who choose to wear the hijab, niqab, or burka face increased verbal abuse, physical intimidation, or worse on the streets. Featured on ITV News, MWNUK CEO Baroness Gohir expressed concerns about the planned Unite the Kingdom rally this Saturday: "What I'm really worried about is what the speakers might say, particularly those that will be on video link and may be from abroad because they can say what they want...that can breach the UK hate legislation."
