🌞 Amber Weather Warning – Please Take Care 🌞

With an Amber Weather Warning in place over the next few days and temperatures expected to exceed 30°C, we'd like to remind everyone to take extra care during the hot weather.

💧 The Brandwood Centre remains open and we are doing our best to keep the building cool and comfortable. We also have plenty of drinking water available to help everyone stay hydrated.

❤️ We always love welcoming you to the Centre, but your wellbeing comes first. If you feel it may be too hot to travel, please stay safe, cool and comfortable at home.

☀️ Remember to:
✔ Drink plenty of fluids
✔ Stay in the shade where possible
✔ Wear light clothing
✔ Avoid unnecessary travel during the hottest part of the day

What a fantastic day it turned out to be at this year's Brandwood Bash - there was a real Buzz around Brandwood!

With fabulous weather and a wonderful atmosphere, it was great to see so many people from our community coming together to enjoy all the activities, entertainment and community spirit on offer.

A BIG thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with Jo and Sophie, who thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many familiar and new faces throughout the day.

We were also delighted to draw the winning name for our Roots & Branches Community Café Competition!

Congratulations to Anne, who has won Lunch for Two at our Roots & Branches Community Café! We'll be in touch with you very soon to arrange your prize.

🌟 Volunteers of the Week 🌟

As we look ahead to Volunteer Week (1st–7th June), we wanted to shine a spotlight on two of our wonderful volunteers, Sean and Brian.

Over the cooler part of this week, they've been hard at work in our community garden, helping to keep our outdoor spaces looking welcoming and beautiful for everyone who visits The Brandwood Centre.

When asked why he volunteers, Sean said: "The Centre is my second home."

Brian told us: "I enjoy volunteering because I love gardening, meeting people, and giving back to the community."

Their words perfectly capture what volunteering is all about – friendship, purpose, belonging, and making a difference.

At The Brandwood Centre, we know that our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. They give their time, skills, energy, and kindness to support our community, and we simply couldn't do it without them.

As we prepare to celebrate Volunteer Week with a special thank you get-together for all our volunteers, we'd like to say a huge *THANK YOU* not only to Sean and Brian, but to every single volunteer who helps make our centre such a special place.
