The Yardley Conservation Society Committee has been working with Birmingham City Council to launch a public consultation on the new 𝗬𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗹 & 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻, running from 18th May to 10th July. Once adopted, the Plan will protect and enhance the Conservation Area now and for the future.

One of the most significant and positive proposals is to bring the field off School Lane within the Conservation Area boundary.

Blakesley Hall is one of Birmingham’s oldest historic buildings, built over 430 years ago in 1590. See many original features including the painted chamber, take a wander through the atmospheric Great Parlour, the Great Hall and the Long Gallery, which is an unusual feature in this type of house.

Midlands Arts Centre - MAC are excited to announce a paid opportunity to create work for a brand-new, free family art trail at MAC this Autumn.

Inspired by the dreamlike world of surrealism, artists are invited from all disciplines to imagine and create bold, playful and unexpected works. Think fantastical creatures, curious animals and wildly imaginative beings - the more fanciful, outrageous and playful the better! They're looking for ideas that spark curiosity, push boundaries and celebrate creativity in all its forms.

The Boys run a mix of activities for men living in the local area — a wellbeing and community group built on comradeship, connection, strength and action. They bring lads together through walks, socials, events, local businesses and real community.
