Let's Feed Brum

Let's Feed Brum Registered Charity Number: 1178574 Step up to the plate and help us tackle homelessness by giving up your time or donating food and supplies to the cause.

Let’s Feed Brum provides essential supplies and friendship to those living on our streets, which helps start conversations and signpost the services already helping tackle the city's homelessness issue. Let’s Feed Brum was set up to build on the work of Inspiration Support, a team of dedicated volunteers who have provided food, drink, essential supplies and friendship to those living on our street

s for the past six years. With 10 million tonnes of food being thrown away every year in the UK, we’re bringing Birmingham’s cafés, bars and restaurants together to help feed people in these unfortunate circumstances. Added to that, we’re increasing the number of volunteers out on the streets by getting the community together to be the humans we should all be. The food, however, is just the beginning; by being out on the streets we're able to start conversations with the city's homeless and help signpost the fantastic services already in place, working to tackle Birmingham's problem.

Kindness really does come out of the blue and when you least expect it. ✨

Big thanks to Andy, the lovely checkout chap we met recently, while paying for one of our big Tuesday breakfast shops at

When he found out who all the supplies were for, he insisted on making a £20 donation from his own pocket. Moments like that really make our day. 🙏

We’ll be back outside tomorrow morning, providing supplies and support to anyone in need. Email [email protected] to find out how to get involved.

🎉 Big thanks to who contacted us today. With a donation of 97 (97!) fresh filled cobs to our walkabout teams. 🥖 They had to close early due to the bad weather, sadly, but didn’t want food to go to waste. Rest assured - it won’t.

We work with cafes, restaurants and catering firms across Birmingham to distribute leftover food, reducing waste and helping to provide fresh meals to people in need.

🌲 As so many of us prepare to settle down for a Christmas meal tomorrow, we’d like to thank all of our volunteers and sponsors who helped make this year’s Christmas lunch another special event. On 13 Dec, we gave a warm welcome and a three course meal to 300 of Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerable people.

We couldn’t do it without the time, energy, and kindness of the people of Birmingham. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making that day a success and here’s to good things in 2026. ✨

Thanks to the team for the generous Lineage Giving grant, which they presented to the team at Breakfast Club. We couldn’t continue our work without the support of the businesses and people who call Birmingham their home.

🎄 Last Saturday, Birmingham Cathedral was filled with friendship, music and 250 of Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerable people, who enjoyed a hot Christmas Lunch. Over 70 volunteers came down to catch up with our regulars, welcome people new to LFB and to help the event run smoothly. 14 generous sponsors made it all possible. This is a very special (and hectic!) day in the LFB calendar but it’s always worth it.

Special thanks to: Birmingham Cathedral (St Philip’s) for the venue, The Thomas Franks Foundation for preparing such a delicious meal, The Northfield Acapella Choir for providing music and song, and our amazing crew of volunteers.

Enormous thanks to our sponsors: Bordeaux Estates Flume Group James Hewitson Krishan Parmar Kroll

✨ Wishing all of our friends, volunteers and sponsors a merry Chirstmas and a happy, healthy 2025. ✨

📣 Walkabout volunteers wanted! 📣. We’re on the look out for people to join our Friday and Saturday walkabouts.

The commitment is a couple of hours in the early evening. We love it when people can come out every week but if you want to help out and can only come once or twice a month, that works too.

What does a Let’s Feed Brum volunteer look like?

Volunteers come from all walks of life and all corners of Birmingham. We are united by our commitment to supporting the community and a desire to help those who need it most.

If you’d like to find out more, get in touch at [email protected].

Thanks to the amazing people of Brum coming together last night, the expected riots didn’t take place and Breakfast Club is going ahead as usual this morning. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely but today we are feeling so proud of this city. ❤️
