🏅 Carers’ Sports Day highlights!

What a great day at Cannon Hill Park! Our Birmingham carers got stuck into a range of fun sporting challenges, enjoyed some friendly competition and had the chance to spend time together.

No sports day is complete without some well-earned food and refreshments afterwards! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so enjoyable.

We’re hiring in Coventry!

We’re looking for a Children and Young People (CYP) Co-Ordinator to join our team at Midland Mencap.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is warm, motivated and confident leading a team, and who wants to help children and young people with disabilities get the right support and opportunities.

In this role, you’ll help lead our Children and Young People’s Services in Coventry. You’ll support and manage staff, organise sessions and activities, work closely with families and professionals, and help make sure every child and young person receives safe, person-centred support.

Based at: Logan Centre, Logan Road, Coventry, CV2 1AG, with a weekly visit to our Birmingham Head Office
Salary: £32,160
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

The role includes working some weekends and during school holidays.

If you have experience leading a team and working with people with learning disabilities and/or autism, we’d love to hear from you. We also value transferable skills and provide comprehensive training.

The consultation sessions provide a space to discuss what is working well, the challenges families face and what could be improved across education, health and social care.

Feedback will help identify key themes and practical recommendations to inform Birmingham City Council’s future planning.
