Join our team! We're looking for people who want to use their skills to make a real difference to families experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties.

We're looking for:

👉 Groupwork Practitioner – helping create safe, welcoming spaces where families can connect, build confidence and access support.

👉 Service User Administrator – helping families feel welcomed, heard and supported from their very first contact with Acacia.

📍 Both roles are 20 hours per week and offer flexible, family-friendly working, training and ongoing support.

Last week, our Young Parent Practitioner, Megan, delivered our Born to Bond training session to a group of health professionals.

Through activities like creating baby brain connections with wool, the session explored the importance of early relationships and how we can help give babies the best possible start in life.

A really valuable opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen understanding and support the professionals working with families every day.

Meet our lovely Northfield team!

If it’s your first time visiting us, you might feel a little unsure about what to expect. But from the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly team, who’ll help you feel comfortable and at ease.

There’ll probably be a cuppa and some toast too. ☕🍞

Most importantly, you’ll be met with no judgement, no pressure and no expectations. Just a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself, talk about how you’re feeling and get the support you need.

Because sometimes, taking that first step is the hardest part.

➡️ Service User Administrator

📍 Sutton Coldfield, office based
⏰ 20 hours per week, over 4 days (inc Mondays and Fridays)
💷 £12.71 per hour
📅 12-month fixed-term contract initially, subject to funding

You'll be one of the first people families speak to when reaching out to Acacia. Your kindness, compassion and organisational skills will help families feel welcomed, heard and understood, while keeping our services running smoothly.

➡️ Groupwork Practitioner

📍 Birmingham wide, community based, with hybrid working
⏰ 20 hours per week
💷 £13,526.93 per annum pro rata (£25,363 full time equivalent)
📅 12-month fixed-term contract initially, subject to funding

You'll help develop and deliver Acacia's groupwork programme, working alongside practitioners and volunteers to create welcoming, inclusive spaces where families can build connections and access support. The role involves regular travel across Birmingham, including our groups in Northfield and Walmley.

Both roles offer flexible, family-friendly working, 36 days' annual leave pro rata (including bank holidays), matched pension contributions, enhanced sick pay and family leave, plus ongoing training and support.

🏃‍♂️ 52KM. 1,500M OF ELEVATION. ONE INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT!

A huge shout out to Sam Webb, who took on a seriously tough challenge over the weekend — and completed an ULTRA MARATHON! 🙌

And as if completing an ultra wasn’t enough…

⭐ Sam has raised over £1,000 for Acacia
⭐ His company is matching his fundraising - so his hard work is going even further to support families!
