Our BUDS (Building Up Dads) group meets tomorrow, 20th August at 6pm online, a free, welcoming space to talk about fatherhood, supporting your partner, and everything in between. It's once a month, just an hour, and completely judgement-free.

Can't make the group? 1-2-1 sessions are available too, just ask.

📢 We’re recruiting! Dads’/Partners’ Peer Support Worker

We’re excited to share that Acacia has been awarded new 12-month funding through the Department for Education’s Best Start in Life/Family Hubs programme, allowing us to expand our support for dads and partners across Birmingham.

We’re looking for a Dads’/Partners’ Peer Support Worker to help us reach and support more fathers and partners across Birmingham through stay and play groups, one to one support and community outreach. Working with Family Hubs and local organisations, the role will help dads build connections, access support and feel less alone. Regular travel is required, so access to a car is desirable.

📍 Location: Birmingham-wide / Hybrid working
⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with some occasional evening and weekend work)
💷 Salary: £25,363–£26,419 per annum, depending on experience
📅 Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months
Benefits: Flexible working, 36 days leave (including bank/public holidays), 5% matched pension contribution, ongoing support and supervision sessions
