This year's theme, , is a reminder that simple actions can make a big difference in protecting ourselves and our families online.

At the King Edward VI Foundation, we're supporting the campaign by sharing advice to help students, parents and our wider community stay safe in an increasingly digital world.

From recognising suspicious emails and messages to creating strong passwords and protecting personal information, everyday habits are one of the best defences against cyber-crime.

Cyber security is everyone's responsibility. By staying alert, informed and proactive, we can all help create a safer online environment for ourselves and those around us.

Today is Youth Mental Health Day.

With 1 in 5 young people aged 8-25 in the UK experiencing a probable mental health disorder, it’s more important than ever that we work together to support their wellbeing.

Young people are navigating a wide range of pressures, from education and social media to friendships, family life and uncertainty about the future. As parents, carers and educators, we all have a role to play in creating safe spaces where young people feel heard, valued and supported.

At King Edward VI Foundation, the safety, wellbeing and future of our students remain at the heart of everything we do.

Today is a reminder to check in, listen without judgement and let the young people in our lives know they are not alone.

If support is needed, encourage them to reach out to:

• A trusted teacher or member of staff
• Their school's pastoral or wellbeing team
• Friends and family
• A GP or healthcare professional
• Mental health charities and support services

Sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference.
