Come along and discover the fascinating history behind Bournville Village Council and the story of the Bournville Village Children’s Festival.

There will be lots to see and do, including:

📚 Take a trip down memory lane and look through old Festival programmes.
📸 Can you find yourself? See if you can spot your photo from when you danced around the Maypole!
👗 See the Festival costumes and learn more about our Maypole traditions.
👑 Have your photo taken on the Festival Queen’s chair.
🌸 Dance around the Maypole and experience a little piece of Bournville tradition!

We’re also delighted to welcome Live, Long & Be Crafty, showcasing their fantastic crochet and 3D printing creations.

Come along, bring the family and discover some of Bournville’s wonderful history and traditions.

Only residents living within the Bournville Village Council area are eligible to vote, but everyone is welcome to come along, listen, ask questions and find out more about what we do.

We are also looking for people who would like to join Bournville Village Council and help us continue the work we do in our community.

You don't have to live within the BVC area to get involved. Co-option is possible where someone has particular skills, knowledge or experience that could benefit the Council, especially where we don't currently have those skills available to us.

Whether you have experience in events, social media, community work, governance, fundraising, communication—or simply have a passion for making a difference—we would love to hear from you.

Polite Reminder

Please do not dump your household or business rubbish in or around the bins at Dame Elizabeth Hall.

We fully understand the current issues with bin collections across the city. However, the bins at Dame Elizabeth Hall are provided and paid for solely for the use of the hall and its hirers. When others dispose of their rubbish in these bins, it often leaves no capacity for those using the hall.

Please be aware that the bin area is covered by CCTV.

If we identify anyone dumping rubbish in or around the bins, the footage may be passed to Birmingham City Council, and the incident may be reported as fly-tipping.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep Dame Elizabeth Hall clean and tidy.
