2 weeks to go until we have the award-winning Soul Paint at BOM on on Wed 24 June. 🥳

Soul Paint is a VR experience which blends traditional body mapping with the immersive power of VR. Combining 3D drawing, movement, playful interaction, storytelling and personal introspection, it asks, ‘Where are you feeling?’ Book the experience and stay for the talk.

Created by SarahTicho and Smith_Niki, we’re presenting Soul Paint as part of the programme for Healing Arts Birmingham, in association with Jameel Arts Health Lab, Birmingham City Council, and the World Health Organization (WHO)

Hands up if you walk past the Town Hall every day and don’t know the music heritage behind this iconic Brum landmark? ✋🏻

Brum SoundTracks is an app featuring a bunch of our city’s current and lost music venues. You’ll find info on each venue, archive material and Augmented Reality (AR) intros from Jez Collins from Birmingham Music Archive. Jez is dressed up to match each location (emo Jez? You got it) - you’ll have to download the app to see! 😬

We love our city, and we loved working on this app. Download it and let us know what you think. 👉🏼 https://bom.org.uk/brumsoundtracks/

How do you build a world? 🤩

This week, we joined the University of Birmingham's World Building and Ethical Game Design event, which shared insights on ethics, imagination, belonging and community-driven design.

We love talking about games for good, and our Business Development Manager, Caroline White and Games Artist, Clodagh Delahunty-Forrest, shared projects from Hidden Kingdoms to Mother Nature: EcoDash and new R&D on Mother Nature XR.

It was a fantastic opportunity to explore how games can build more inclusive, non-hierarchical worlds – and fantastic to speak alongside academics in the field.
