Our Immersive Workshops in partnership with CreaTech Frontiers are filling up! 👀

Here’s a look at some behind the scenes as we prepare for the workshops. This is a sneak peek of R&D for our Projection Mapping workshop.

We were delighted to welcome Rok Pat to BOM, who worked with our team to create a promotional video for his client’s brand new product, inkslabpro. 🔥

Working in our Virtual Production Suite with dancer Chasse Peng, they spent an afternoon recording Motion Capture using the Rokoko suit and integrated it into Unreal Engine. It’s been great to see the results!

Spaces are filling up for our Immersive Workshops!

There are still plenty of spots left for our workshops, which return for two weeks from 1st September.

Popular sessions include XR Project Planning, Metahumans & MoCap and Projection Mapping. The latter is a brand new addition to the workshop courses. These taster sessions are free, fully funded by CreaTech Frontiers, and available to participants living in the West Midlands.

Our immersive workshops return this September. 💛

If you’re curious about working with Metahumans and MoCap, or learning about Projection Mapping and Photogrammetry, then our workshops are for you. They provide a great introduction to these immersive skills and are free and fully funded by CreaTech Frontiers.

Available to participants living in the West Midlands, the workshops are limited to 15 people, begin from 1st Sept, are booked individually and take place in person at BOM.

What a week it’s been! 💛

It’s been brilliant to spend time with an amazing group of 10-11 year olds from Free@Last Youth Centre in Nechells.

The group heard from EA - Electronic Arts's Laura Morgan, Development Manager in the F1 division, who shared her career journey and gave the young people an insight into her role at Electronic Arts (EA).

They also explored the connection between gaming and wellbeing, discussing topics such as diversity and accessibility while watching F1 gameplay. It was all about getting hands-on too! They played a series of mini-games, designed avatars and experienced VR, all while considering wellbeing in games.

After a busy week of getting creative, they rounded off the programme with an afternoon at the F1 Arcade. 🏎️

This is part of our partnership with EA, doing what we love: working with communities to inspire and empower the next generation of digital creatives.

Well done to Adanna Davis-Waite for leading this summer programme and to Teodora Minetos for supporting. We're looking forward to bringing this to more youth groups soon!

Returning from the 1st of September, we’re running two weeks of taster sessions covering immersive topics from XR planning to an introduction to Projection Mapping.
