Congratulations to Craig David on completing his year as VP Education 👏

As VP Education, Craig focused on improving academic support through workshops, resources, and guidance to help students succeed in their studies. This included delivering AI in Education workshops and Pomodoro Study Sessions with the Library, helping students build effective study habits and use AI confidently and responsibly.

He also strengthened student representation by ensuring student feedback was heard at a senior level through Academic Board, Education Committee, and Rep Council, helping to shape university decisions.

Craig also worked to improve key academic support processes, including gathering student feedback on the Personal Academic Tutor system and working with the BCU Student Governance Team to address delays in Extenuating Circumstances claims.

Overall, Craig has helped strengthen academic support, student voice, and the student experience across BCU 💙

We look forward to welcoming Craig as our Students’ Union President next year 🏆

A huge well done towards our VP Community Wahid Umatiya for all he has accomplished this academic year.

Wahid took on the role of VP Community, where the main goals included creating a welcoming environment for BCU students, providing professional career services, while incorporating his background in volunteering and mentorship to make BCU a more welcoming place.

In addition, Wahid has been very determined to host career opportunities for BCU students which consists of hosting networking, panel talks with various industry professionals. Furthermore, he has worked closely with the Careers and Library team to enhance the BCU Skills Hub, making it easier for students to better their skills during their time here at BCU.
