Birmingham PHAB Camps Birmingham PHAB Camps is a charity whose aim is to encourage the integration of disabled and able-bodied children and young people from the Birmingham area

Birmingham PHAB Camps is a charity whose aim is to encourage the integration of disabled and able-bodied children and young people. We arrange holidays for young people of various age groups during July and August. Half of the young people have disabilities and half are able-bodied. We also arrange holidays for groups of children who have severe multiple disabilities as well as a camp for children with autism during the Easter holidays. Volunteer helpers staff the holidays. Many of the children involved have no other opportunity of a holiday.

Day 7:

Camp enjoyed a variety of exhilarating activities together - including, biking, crate-staking, and zip wiring.

Everyone showed their competive thrill amongst peers, by creating and decorating their own cheesecakes to deliver and present to our own judges... think BAKE-OFF, we had worst baker to best baker prizes.

Tomorrow were heading home, were sad to be leaving 😔 but we have all had a PHAB-ulous time on camp!!

What an amazing last day on senior camp 🤩!!

We:
🏖️ Spent the morning at the beach
🌊 Swam in the sea
🐚 Collected sea shells
🐟 Went to the sea life centre
🍦 Ate a lot of ice cream
🍟 Went for fish and chips
🪙 Played at the arcade

We then got back and got ready for our party to dance the night away 🕺🏽🪩🥳 🎉

So many amazing memories made ❤️

Venture Camp 6
Today was a lovely, uplifting day filled with fresh air, nature, creativity, and relaxation! 🌞🌿
We enjoyed a peaceful walk around the lake, taking in the beautiful scenery and appreciating the nature that surrounded us. 🏞️🚶‍♀️ It was a great opportunity to get some fresh air, enjoy the outdoors, and take in the peaceful atmosphere. 😊
After returning, we got involved in some fun and energetic drumming 🥁🎶, creating lots of positive energy and enjoying ourselves together. It was a great way to express ourselves and have some fun!
To finish the day, we settled down and relaxed with a film in the evening 🎬🍿. It was a calm and enjoyable way to wind down after a busy and positive day. 🌙✨
Overall, it was a fantastic day full of smiles, laughter, nature, creativity, and good moments together! 💚😊🌟

Senior camp started day 5 bright and early with some morning yoga 🧘 ☀️!!

We then had an amazing day at the adventure park where we:

🐐 Fed the animals
🏎️ Raced in go karts
🎢 Screamed on the rides
💧 Got splashed on the water slides

We then got back just in time to see the Solar Eclipse 🌒 🌙!!

We ended the evening with some funky face paining 🎨 and another camp football match ⚽️ 🥅

Day 4 venture camp
Today at PHAB, the group had a fun and exciting day full of different activities! 🌊☀️
They started the day with a beach day, where they had the opportunity to spend time outdoors, enjoy the fresh air and socialise with each other. 🏖️ This was a great opportunity for the children to relax, have fun and take part in activities together.
After the beach, the group went to Blackpool Pier 🎡, where the children enjoyed going on a variety of fairground rides. They were able to choose the rides they wanted to go on, which encouraged independence, confidence and decision-making. 🎢 They also visited the arcade 🕹️, where they played different games and enjoyed spending time together.
Later in the day, the group came back together to watch a murder mystery-style improv performance. 🎭 This was an entertaining activity that encouraged the children to use their imagination, listen carefully and get involved with the performance.Murder Inc.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable and memorable day! 😊 The activities gave the children opportunities to socialise, build confidence, develop independence and try different experiences, while most importantly having fun together. ❤️
We would also like to say a big thank you to beach wheelchairs for providing us accessible chairs for the beach
