BID Services Providing specialist services to children, young people and adults who are Deaf, hard of hearing, sight impaired or deafblind. BID Services is a charity.

We work in partnership with children, young people and adults and their families and carers. We support people who are deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired or have a dual sensory loss. Our specialist service areas include advocacy, employment, British Sign Language Interpreting and training, rehabilitation and mobility training, specialist equipment, residential care, social work, support for tinnitus and housing related services.

A relaxed and safe environment for deaf and hard of hearing women to come together and enjoy delicious drinks and food, to make friends, and have better access to important information.

October is Domestic Abuse awareness month ⚠

Abuse can be physical, emotional, financial or sexual and carried out by a partner, ex-partner or family member.

Deaf and Deafblind people are 2-4 times more likely to experience Domestic Abuse than the hearing community.

An exciting day of collaboration 💜✨️

Today, we have been working alongside BID Services and NationalBreastfeedingHelpline on a very special project. It has been such a wonderful day of sharing ideas, working together and taking positive steps towards making support more accessible and inclusive for families.

Come along to our Women's Health Day event in Birmingham on Saturday the 17th of October! 🍎

We will have a fantastic range of presenters coming to talk about different health topics. See the times below:

10:30am – Naomi Goldman Nutrition (Nutrition linked to Menopause)
11:30am – DEWA (Deaf Ethnic Women's Association) (Violence against women and girls)
1:30pm – Sasha Squires from Freedom4girls (“Body Literacy”)
2:30pm – CoppaFeel! (Breast Cancer awareness)
3:30pm – Charlotte Tilbury (“Brush Along” makeup class), limited to 10 people

📆 Saturday 17th October, 10am - 4:30pm
