Born from the Jamaican phrase “shub up”; to dance, move and celebrate - SHOOBZ pays homage to the vibrant spaces created by the Windrush generation, where music, joy and togetherness became acts of resilience.

Inspired by the legendary “Shubz” of Black British history, this event honours the house parties and sound system culture that shaped generations; spaces built on music, freedom, community and celebration.
