Today marks 10 years since Eugene’s brother, Michael, was taken from him.

This November, Eugene will climb to Everest Base Camp in Michael’s memory — and in honour of every family broken by violent crime.

That’s why we’re inviting you to something a little different—

A FREE Mindful Photography Workshop that blends creativity with healing. No fancy camera needed. Just your phone, your memories, and an open heart.

Whether you’re deep in the fog of grief or just looking for a creative way to reconnect with your emotions, this workshop offers a supportive, relaxed space to explore your story. You’ll be guided by photographer Kate Green and SAMM Support Volunteers, through gentle discussions and hands-on photography prompts that allow your emotions to surface—visually.

Help Eugene Raise £5k!

We are absolutely delighted, humbled and honoured to support Eugene’s special fundraising challenge of walking to Base Camp Everest in memory of his brother Michael!

We know this is going to be one of his biggest fundraising and physical challenges to date so we will be right behind him every step of the way as he honours Michael’s memory and raises important funds for SAMM. Every penny will fund our specialist support for people bereaved by homicide.

The objective is to better tailor services to meet the needs of underrepresented groups, including younger people (aged 25–40), men and ethnic minorities.
