Last week we had the privilege of being able to pick up a woman we support from the prison gates on her release, to take her to all her essential appointments and then to her new accommodation to get settled. If we weren’t there to support with this, it would have taken her between 2-5 hours just to get back to Birmingham, and then she would have needed to navigate all her initial appointments on her own.
Being there at these vital moments makes such a difference - where anxiety and isolation could cause overwhelm, we’re able to show up and say “you’re not alone!”

When one of the women we support reached out to say that she was feeling overwhelmed with the state of her flat, we knew we wanted to step in and support. She has been on a beautiful journey of moving forwards with her life, but it can feel impossible to make progress when your home is reflective of your past.
Between 2 days and with the help of 4 volunteers, we got to work cleaning and organising her entire home, top to bottom!
She has given us permission to share a couple pictures- swipe for the living room before and afters!

Wow, what a beautiful day we had on Saturday! It was so precious to gather together to shop, eat, listen to music, and build community together all in support of the vital work of Embrace in Birmingham at our Clothes Swap fundraiser 🧡🧡🧡
We want to say a massive thank you to the volunteers who helped us run the event, musicians, bakers, all those who donated and everyone who attended and gave! Embrace wouldn’t exist without the generosity and kindness of our volunteers and supporters

We had such a lovely day on Monday, because we had the opportunity to take one of the precious women we support to for her birthday treat 🎂 we had so much fun seeing all the animals, and her personal favourite were the monkeys and lizards!
One of the best things about Embrace is that we get to bless and celebrate these women to show them just how loved they are ❤️

We are overjoyed because yesterday we were able to baptise two incredible women who have moved from a life of addiction to a life of freedom with Jesus! This is why we do what we do, praise God 🙌 We’re so proud of them both for their resilience, strength and faith
We’re so grateful to have been able to support them along the journey - we pray these are the first of many baptisms for women we support!

We’re supporting a couple women at the moment who have recently been moved into new homes that are completely empty, and they need help getting all the bits together that are needed to make a house into a liveable home!
