Every drowning is a tragedy, and every life lost is one too many.

We're proud to support the 'Save Lives for Sam' campaign, established in memory of 16-year-old Sam Haycock, who tragically lost his life after entering open water. Through education, awareness and action, the campaign is working to prevent similar tragedies and save lives.

What if technology could help stop dangerous speeding before it happens?

That's the question we took to No. 10 Downing Street this week.

Alongside RAC, Road Safety GB and SmartStart Inc., our Senior Policy Manager, Becky Guy, delivered a petition calling for a trial of technology designed to help prevent speeding by drivers with a history of offending.

The conversation continued in Parliament, where MPs heard how this approach could help make our roads safer.

Collisions are not just 'bad luck' or one off events - they are the results of mistakes and failures to keep people safe.

We need better data and investigation, so that we can understand fully how they happen and what prevents them.

The Government's Road Safety Strategy is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to do this, to get accident prevention right on our roads, and to save lives.
