Upcoming events for August

1️⃣ UBAS Leavers hog roast

Current UBAS have kindly invited us to their leavers do at RAF Cosford on Friday 1st August

Come and join the students and staff to celebrate the achievements of the squadron this year, and wish farewell to those who are graduating this year.

There will be a hog roast and plenty of booze, and accommodation will be avaliable in home for sport if needed, or for serving personnel feel free to book yourselves into your respective messes

There will be a small cash fee (~£5) for the hog roast, so bring some cash with you on the day

2️⃣ UBAS London day out

This year’s popular London Day out will be held on Saturday 16th August. The format of the day will be relaxed, with the option to dip in and out throughout the day.

Starting at the RAF Club for refreshments, we’ll head to St James’s Park via the Bomber Command Memorial, with some special words from Foots.

Bring your own ‘hampers and champers’ for a picnic in the park afterwards.

Following this, we’ll head to the RAG for an evening of drinks via another favourite Westminster pub along the way.

Last year was an incredible day enjoying the sun and we hope to have as much fun this year! Partners welcome.

No cost, but bring along some money for a kitty throughout the day.

The annual UBAS Reunion

A few sore heads after this one! Blue Lions past and present reunited at the Pitcher and Piano in Birmingham for our annual meetup. Always a highlight of the calendar, and I dont think anyone ended up sleeping in the station this year!

As far as I know we didn't get banned, so full steam ahead for next years reunion!

Morning Blue Lions!

We have extended the DOTY sign up deadline until midnight on the 13th February, so for those who just missed it or have a mate/partner who they'd like to bring, tickets will be avaliable until then.

A big thank you to all who have signed up so far, it's the highlight of the year and the best opportunity to connect with other blue lions, new and old!

Evening Blue Lions!

Following the success of the annual Summer London day out, we have decided to do an additional one in December!
