WE DID IT!🎉

This September, we set out to find sponsors for the 10 children on our school waiting list.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we didn’t just reach our goal - we smashed it!

12 children in Kampala have now been matched with sponsors, giving them the opportunity to start primary school and begin their educational journey📚️

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who sponsored a child, shared our campaign, or spread the word. We couldn't have done it without you!

Together with The Mango Tree Kenya, we’re helping families build climate resilience, strengthen food security and create more secure livelihoods.

Over the past 3 years...

🌽 2,580 people have received training on sustainable agricultural practices
🏚️ 3,580 people have benefitted from higher household incomes
🌱 6,000 children have been involved in tree planting

When child marriage threatened her future, Patricia* found safety with her aunt and uncle. However, with little money for school fees, her dream of becoming a teacher seemed out of reach.

Then, in 2019, everything changed. Sponsored by a family in the UK, Patricia was able to continue her education. Since then, she has flourished, with teachers describing her as hardworking and enthusiastic. She has embraced every opportunity and gone on to become Head Girl.

Now 20, Patricia is closer than ever to achieving her dream. She wrote to her sponsors: “I want to thank you for giving me hope when I didn’t have it."💛

Every summer, our sponsors receive hand-written letters from the children they support. For our younger children who are still learning to write, drawings are a wonderful way for them to express their creativity!🎨

There are just 2 weeks left to give a child on our waiting list the chance to go to school. Will you help?

Andrew* and Natasha* both faced challenges early in life. At 4, Andrew lived with his grandmother and three cousins in a one-room house. At 6, Natasha, lived with her parents and siblings, where their large family struggled to afford the basics.

Both children were at risk of leaving school before their education had really begun.

Everything changed in 2023, when a community group in the UK decided to sponsor both children. Now, Andrew and Natasha are thriving at school. Their sponsors recently shared: "Love the photos of these happy children. So glad to help them.”🌟
