🐝 90 families took part in beekeeping through the Our Lives, Our Land Project

“Your support has changed my life, and today I am proud to give back to my community as a teacher.”

After losing both parents, Nathaniel* and his younger siblings were raised by their grandmother, who cared for the children despite having very limited resources.

Everything changed when our in-country partner, The Mango Tree Kenya, recognised Nathaniel’s potential and found him a generous sponsor. He was supported from primary school through to university, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education📚️

Today, Nathaniel is a qualified primary school teacher, inspiring the next generation. His story demonstrates the lasting impact of child sponsorship and the power of education to break cycles of poverty.

Our Access to Education Programme made a huge impact in Q2!📚

Between April and June, thanks to the incredible support of our community, more than 1,000 children and young people were able to access free, quality education - from early years right through to university.

This is the heart of what we do❤️

At our playing field in Namuwongo, Olivia Barker White shares why giving children a safe place to play is such an important part of helping them thrive.

Every weekend, over 800 children from 10 slum communities across Kampala come together to have fun at our Saturday Kids Clubs🥎

Alongside games, sports and activities, children can access free counselling and support from our trained community safeguarding officers.

We are delighted to share some of our Child Protection Programme highlights from Q2! From April to June 2026...

🥣 3,186 nutritious meals were provided through our Community Feeding Project
💜 1,830 free period products were distributed to girls in our communities
🛡️ 64 children were supported with court cases through our Social Justice Project

Step inside our Hope Centre in Naguru, Kampala📍

Here, women and men are gaining life-changing vocational skills through our Tailoring and Knitting Project, equipping them with the tools to earn sustainable incomes and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

So far this year, 128 people have taken part in our Tailoring and Knitting Project. In June, we welcomed our 19th cohort of students👚
