🚧⚠️Looks like Clapgate Lane will be closed overnight between Jiggins Lane and Woodgate Lane for carriageway patching works, from 7:00pm until 5:00am.

Please find an alternative route during these times. There are currently no bus diversion routes listed. If and when any diversions are updated, we will let you know.

We may no longer be councillors, but we still care deeply about Bartley Green and want to help where we can.
There are some issues we can help with, and others that unfortunately are outside our control. However, everyone can report local issues such as:
• Fly-tipping
• Abandoned vehicles
• Missed bin collections
• Streetlights that aren’t working
• Potholes and other highways issues
• Other problems in your local area
The easiest and quickest way to report these is through your Brum Account or via FixMyStreet.
We will continue to help where we can, but we also want to be honest that we cannot solve every issue ourselves. Reporting problems directly helps ensure they reach the right council team and can be dealt with as quickly as possible.
We still care about Bartley Green and will continue to do what we can to support our community.

Thank you to the local residents who have been letting us know about even more fly-tipping in the area. We’ve also come across some ourselves.
Why do people think this is acceptable? Fly-tipping is selfish, irresponsible and completely unnecessary.
It’s your rubbish and your responsibility not someone else’s. Our roads, green spaces and communities deserve better. Please dispose of your waste properly and help keep our area clean for everyone.

Pleased to see that the dumped clothes have now been removed, along with the graffiti, it’s looking a lot better. 🙂 Unfortunately, there’s now a dumped fridge freezer opposite, which we’ll report. 🙄

In addition, the material used for carriageway patching require cooler temperatures to achieve the correct finish & ensure the quality & longevity of the repair. Undertaking the works at night also provides a safer environment by reducing traffic volumes during the road closure.
