Never ever 💛🕯️

Never ever 💛🕯️

You slipped away
from this world of noise and light,
like a quiet star
fading into dawn…

and everyone says
you are gone.

But how can you be—
when I still feel you
in the hush between heartbeats,
in the places
only love remembers?

You left this world,
yes…
but you never left me.

You live
in the way I still look for you,
in the way my soul whispers your name
when no one is listening.

You are in my every tear,
my every memory,
my every silent prayer
that rises to the sky.

Because love like ours
does not end with goodbye—
it simply learns
to live differently.

So no…
you did not stay here—
but you never left
my heart. 🤍

Not only do people not ask what your baby looks like…they cringe at the photos of them that we post on Facebook.

It’s disturbing to me how many messages
I get from mothers in tears because someone publicly or privately shamed them for posting a photo of their stillborn. People don’t care if someone posts photos of their newborn.

But guess what… stillborn is STILL BORN!

Parents that have lost their baby are losing so much more than their baby. They lose all of their hopes and dreams for their child. They lose their entire future. So why are people trying to take even one more thing away from us?

Some people have told me that people said that it wasn’t appropriate to post on social media or that “you don’t have to post everything on here”…or “some things need to stay private!”

The truth?

People don’t want to hear or see about other people’s issues. They would rather see phony social media posts about how life is amazing for every single person on this planet.

Personally, I am an open book. I post everything because it’s SOCIAL MEDIA. What’s the point of being social if you aren’t authentic?

Not to mention, posting photos and talking about our lost children is one of the few ways we can put them into existence and honor them.

Some parents choose not to post their photos and that’s okay too. There is no right or wrong way to grieve or honor your child. But don’t avoid doing it in fear of being shamed or judged. The people doing the shaming and judging have no idea what this type of loss is like and one of the ways to end stigma and taboo is to post pictures because the more people see something the less taboo it becomes.

And for the ones that are in shock or disbelief when they see a photo of a stillborn baby…it’s okay.

We were and still are in shock ourselves.

But you don’t have to say anything to shame or judge the parent posting the photo.

You know that saying, “If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything at all.”

It couldn’t be any more true.

So stay kind, stay loving, stay supportive or stay away.
