Latest UK Update (15 June 2026)

The UK Government has announced plans to ban access to major social media platforms for children under 16, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube and X. The proposal is expected to go before Parliament later this year, with implementation targeted for Spring 2027. Additional measures may include restrictions on livestreaming and contact from strangers on online platforms.

අද (15 ජුනි 2026) UK රජය විසින් වයස අවුරුදු 16ට අඩු දරුවන් සඳහා සමාජ මාධ්‍ය භාවිතය තහනම් කිරීමට සැලසුම් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත.

මෙම යෝජනාව යටතේ TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube සහ X වැනි ජනප්‍රිය වේදිකා 16ට අඩු දරුවන්ට ලබාදීම නවත්වනු ඇත.
