Volunteer Geoff at the Meet Your Councillor reception where recently elected Cllr Mansuur Ahmed held an event to bring together residents, businesses, schools, faith groups, community organisations etc. Geoff may have exceeded his 2-3 minute introduction to our history and ongoing work😆 however now our new Nechells Cllr knows who we are and hopefully it will be the start of a positive relationship.

We're sad to say that today we said farewell to Roger, one of our lovely volunteers. Due to ongoing work commitments, he needs to move on from his biweekly collections from Sainsbury's Mere Green. Thank you to Siemens Healthineers for providing the volunteering hours to support our foodbank.

With Roger moving on, we are now looking for a volunteer to collect food from Sainsbury's Mere Green a couple of Mondays or Tuesdays per month. There is normally about a trolley full to collect and it needs to be brought to our warehouse in Nechells.

If this would suit you, or you know anyone it might, please do get in touch.

We have recently received a large donation of toothbrushes and toothpaste from the West Midlands Multibank, these were purchased by The Richard Porter Foundation and will go a long way to supporting our clients. Although we are a foodbank, we also give out toiletries and hygiene items to our clients to support them. Thank you Multibank West Midlands for the continued support you provide to the foodbank.

If you're a resident in the B7 area, come down here at Nechells POD between 1pm - 2 pm on Thursday. It's a great way to save on your shopping!
