We welcomed the paint it yellow baton to our store from Solihull yesterday and much love and thanks to the 5 young ladies from MDA who did a bagpack to help us raise money before management sent myself and the lovely regional trainer Jenna on to the next store in Redditch. Lots of donations have gone out to various schools and community groups, foodbank cage has been topped up and depleted many times and fundraising has started for many events coming up. This community champion is signing out until week commencing 9th August.
Many many thanks to our amazing customers and staff for continuing to support myself and the store to support our local community and our charity Marie Curie. 😀

From the Morrisons Foundation.

🎉 We are absolutely thrilled to share we;ve awarded a grant to the amazing Mersey Weaver Scouts to fund a brand-new, fully equipped kitchen! 🏕️🍳

This new kitchen will be a hub where young Scouts can learn essential life skills, build teamwork and reslience as well as supporting other local community groups that use the centre.

We’ve become the first UK supermarket to add cancer warning signs to nine of our own-brand bath and shower products in store and online.

This new initiative will feature labels with advice on being body aware and knowing the signs of cancer. While washing, customers will be encouraged to check for:

New lumps or swelling
Changes to the skin
Unexplained bruising, aches, or pain

Stacey from our Corby store has supported the launch by sharing her story:

She first noticed a lump in her armpit in 2019 but thought she was too young for it to be anything worrying.
