moto gymkhana uk west midlands is the Birmingham based arm of the motogymkhana association of great Britain. we provide local information to members and interested motorcyclists by providing assistance for development and a place to meet on line and to to practice

We are also instrumental in the running of the national motogymkhana championships. These are the best value championship in the UK providing real grass roots motor sport to any motorcyclist on any road based motorcycle. from a cbt holder to a die hard racer

The Moto Gymkhana Association was founded in 2011 following our visit to Japan – we are now working hard to establish Moto Gymkhana as a worldwide phenomenon. MGA is your first point of call for everything to do with the sport in the UK & Europe.Moto Gymkhana combines ‘Moto’ – shorthand for motorbike, with ‘Gymkhana’ an event consisting of speed pattern racing and timed games for riders, traditionally on horseback. Moto Gymkhana began in Japan over 40 years ago, with motorcyclists getting together to enjoy informal and fun competitions between themselves. Motorcycle dealers and manufacturers caught on to the idea, holding competitions to advertise and promote their products and have fun with their clients. Moto Gymkhana competitions have changed dramatically since their outset, moving from manufacturer/dealer led, to rider led events open to any make of motorcycle. Along with the fun of the competition, Moto Gymkhana also is also a sport built on friendship and camaraderie. It’s a relatively safe sport – bumps and bruises are usually the worst injury and even these are rare due to the low speeds. The Editor of Performance Bikes called it “the most insane, non-lethal motorcycle sport” – what more could you want?

Sad now. Just had our last MGWM event of the year 🙁.
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service in conjunction with BikerDown Derbyshire hosted us once again at their Joint Training Centre... thank you so much.
It was more challenging for the participants, but there were still miles of smiles.
Huge thanks all who helped out making the day work so well.

However... it's not impossible we will have something else, before year end. Keep an eye out on https://motogymkhana.club/ for anything new.

Thanks to everyone who came and tried our little sport. From the feedback we've received, you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Till next time, ride safe.

Another year at Women in Moto
We had a blast, riding around, spreading the word according to MotoGymkhana.
Loads of takers, including event staff & even a couple of bike cops (though they used our bikes, shame).
Loads of photos & vids supplied.
Here's a selection.
Big thanks to Abbie Hard (http://www.abbiehart.co.uk/) and Lifeline Rider in particular.

Already looking forward to WiM 2027

We had a great time.
Though we failed to score with everyone sadly (see reply below).
But Sunday we got our act together & even gave some tips to a couple of lovely Staffordshire bike cops. Glad to be of help.
