The Quran Changed a Generation — Can It Not Change Us?

The Quran was revealed to purify people and bring out the best in them.
It transformed a society steeped in ignorance and idol worship into a generation that carried faith, character and purpose.
If the Quran transformed them, can it not transform us, our children and our youth today?

☕ CHAI & CHAT | OCTOBER

More than just a cup of chai. ❤️

Alhamdulillah, another brilliant evening of families coming together, plenty of laughs, a very competitive Kahoot 😅 and time spent connecting as a community.

These simple moments matter — young and old, sitting together and enjoying each other’s company in the House of Allah.

Jazakumullahu Khayran to everyone who joined us. 🤍

See you at the next Chai & Chat, inshaAllah!

A Masjid That Feels Like Home 🤎
Sometimes it’s the simple evenings that mean the most.
Families sitting together, children enjoying themselves, cups of chai going around, plenty of conversation and a little friendly competition!
Our latest Chai & Chat was another opportunity to simply spend time together and enjoy the masjid in a relaxed, homely setting.
Because we want the masjid to be somewhere our children grow up loving and our families always feel welcome.
JazakumAllahu khayran to everyone who joined us.
☕ Chai & Chat takes place on the first Saturday of every month.
We’d love to welcome you to the next one.

The Unlettered Prophet and the Miracle of the Quran

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was unlettered, yet the Quran revealed through him was unlike anything the Arabs had heard before.
The Quraysh were renowned for their command of Arabic and poetry, but the Quran stood apart in its language, message and eloquence.
One of the remarkable signs of the Quran and the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ.

He Slandered His Daughter — Yet Abu Bakr (RA) Forgave Him
Imagine someone taking part in spreading a terrible lie about your own daughter.
That was the test Abu Bakr (ra) faced.
Then came the reminder:
“Would you not love that Allah should forgive you?”
We notice the shortcomings of others so easily — but every one of us has shortcomings of our own.
If we want Allah’s forgiveness, how willing are we to forgive?

September at Ad-Duha marked the return of many of our regular programmes 🌿, as our children and adult classes resumed after the summer break and the masjid once again filled with students seeking beneficial knowledge.

We were blessed to welcome Shaykh Ashiq for The Power of the Qur’an, while our Lives of the Imams series came to a close with its final session on the life of Imam Shafi‘i (رحمه الله). Throughout the month, our volunteers also continued their efforts through several masjid collections and progress on our new building.

Alhamdulillah, a month of returning to learning, strengthening community bonds, and continuing our collective efforts towards the new masjid. 🤲🌿
